Het Comporta Golf Cup toernooi wordt van 16 t/m 19 mei 2024 in Comporta (omgeving Lissabon) georganiseerd. U golft op de nieuw aangelegde Comporta Dunas golfbaan (leadingcourses.nl waardering 9.0) en bezoekt tevens de mooie Troia golfbaan (leadingcourses.nl waardering 8.2). Het betreft een 36 holes individueel stableford event en alle spelers dienen te beschikken over een geregistreerde handicap.
Het programma
- Donderdag 16 mei:
> aankomst op de luchthaven van Lissabon en afhalen van de huurauto.
> check-in vanaf 16:00 in hotel Almalusa Comporta**** (booking.com waardering 8.5).
> vanaf 20:00 start van het welkom diner. - Vrijdag 17 mei:
> 1ste 18-holes golfronde op de Comporta Dunas golfbaan met starttijden vanaf 10:30. - Zaterdag 18 mei:
> 2de 18-holes golfronde op de Troia golfbaan met starttijden om 12:00.
> vanaf 20:00 start van het afsluitende diner incl. prijsuitreiking. - Zondag 19 mei:
> check-out tot 11:00 van het hotel
> inleveren huurauto op de luchthaven van Lissabon

The Comporta Dunas golf course
Developed by David McLay-Kidd, the par-71 links-style Dunas Course was constructed with the highest sustainable norms, resulting in approximately 84 hectares of natural sandy terrain that is expected to evoke parallels to some of the most renowned golf courses in the world. Opened to the public in the summer of 2023 with a wooden clad clubhouse and golf academy. With Festuca grass-sown fairways, this course offers a formidable test of skill in a breathtaking backdrop. The length of the course, 6,597 metres, makes it exceptionally difficult and calls for pinpoint precision. There are six alternative tee boxes for each hole, so you may play at your own pace, whether that’s a leisurely stroll around the park or a serious challenge to the course.
At the crossroads of the Sado Estuary and Serra da Arrábida, Troia Golf is an 18-hole, par 72 course, 6.317 metres alongside the beach with a magnificent sea view. Designed by the American golf architect Trent Jones Senior, Troia Golf was elected one of the best golf courses in world by Rolex in 2011, and now features in the guide The Rolex World’s Top 1.000 Golf Courses. Also, the magazine Golf World qualified Troia Golf as the 32 best golf course on Continental Europe, in 2011. Robert Trent Jones Senior selected hole 3 of Tróia’s golf course as one of the best he has ever designed, and included it in his ideal 18-hole course. There are two holes worth mentioning in particular: hole 3, a par 4 that fits perfectly in the landscape with a magnificent sea view, was considered by Robert Trent Jones Senior one of the best he has ever designed, and he included it in his ideal 18-hole golf course; and hole 18 is a par 5 left dogleg, with an elevated green and protected by three front bunkers.
